School Uniform and Appearance Policy

Item Description
Navy blue hijab There should be one visible layer. No numerous layers or folds should be evident. Pupils are not permitted to wear high buns or ponytails that are visible. Where pupils wear under hats or caps, these should be plain black. No accessories are acceptable.
Abaya Pupil must wear a full-length plain black abaya.
School Blazer Plain black blazers are a compulsory uniform requirement and must be worn at all times in school.
Black trousers Should be ankle length, loose fitting.
Black shoes Pupils are expected to wear plain black sensible smart school shoes which are suitable for all weather conditions. Pupils are NOT to wear to school: pumps, plimsolls, trainers, boots above the ankle or heels more than 1 inch. Sandals can only be worn during warm weather.
Black crew socks Ankle socks are not permitted.
Outdoor Coats Coats must be plain and loose fitted. They should be black, dark grey or navy blue. No logos are allowed. Hoodies are not permitted. Denim or leather jackets or items resembling either of these are not permitted.
P.E top Light blue full sleeve polo shirt should be worn—loose fitting.
P.E bottoms Black jogging bottoms—loose fitting.
P.E Hijab A black hijab, preferably jersey or pull over hijab.
Trainers Plain black trainers.
School bag A plain black waterproof bag which is big enough to comfortably hold all items required for the school day.

Cosmetics, Jewellery, and Personal Appearance

To maintain high standards of presentation and uphold the school's ethos, the following guidelines regarding cosmetics and personal appearance must be strictly followed:

Makeup

The wearing of makeup is not permitted under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Eyeliner
  • Lip gloss
  • Lipstick
  • Mascara
  • Brow pencils
  • Nail varnish
  • False nails or nail extensions
  • False eyelashes or eyelash extensions

Students found wearing any form of makeup will be asked to remove it immediately.

Jewellery

Pupils are not permitted to wear any form of jewellery in school. This includes nose studs, nose rings, and similar piercings, which are strictly prohibited.

Coloured Contact Lenses

Coloured contact lenses are considered a cosmetic item and are therefore not allowed, regardless of whether they are prescription or non-prescription. Pupils who require contact lenses for medical reasons must ensure they are clear only.

All pupils are expected to adhere to the standards outlined in the Home School Agreement at all times.

Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices

The school operates a strict no-device policy. Pupils must not bring the following items onto school premises:

  • Mobile phones
  • iPads or tablets
  • Smartwatches
  • Any other electronic gadgets or devices
